Excerpt from a series of freely improvised duo, this time with drummer Dana Hall. Here I’m using a $150 solidbody guitar with no modifications other than a Duneland Labs Blackpole humbucker plugged straight into a 6L6 amp with the tone controls bypassed.

The use of both hard right hand picking and slippery left hand slurring gives a good sense of how this pickup responds to a wide range of playing approaches.
